Problem Note 62727: Date values in Custom Detail date fields shift by -2 days in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, date values shift to two days earlier (-2 days) when you enter date values in a date field in a Custom Details date field and you click OK. This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

  1. Create a custom detail (for example, for a communication definition).
  2. Select Date in the Elements category.
  3. Select the Required check box in the General category. Then select the value Day from the Date type list box (under Constraints), as shown below:

Managing Custom Details dialog box with Date value

  4. Create a campaign and select the communication definition that you created in the previous steps.
  5. Enter a date (for example, August 10, 2018) and click OK.  You do not need to save the entry.

  6. Re-open the Custom Details Communication Properties dialog box. When you do this, the date value that appears is two days earlier (August 8, 2018).

  7. Click OK and re-open the properties. This time, the date value is August 6, 2018.

As shown above the date shifts to two days earlier (-2 days ) every time you click OK. This problem occurs in custom details for communications, campaigns, and treatments. It also occurs in custom details that are used in a custom-written Code node.

The issue only occurs for time zones that use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+1, UTC+2, UTC+3, and so on). The issue was introduced with the latest hot fix (Hot Fix Z77011).

You also experience an incorrect date shift to one day earlier (-1 day) each time that you publish to the SAS® Customer Intelligence Common Data Model.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
